Introduced in November 1985 by Megatron, a respected manufacturer of instruments involved with light measurement, who had bought the liquidated parts, stock and instruments from East Kilbride Instruments. The meter was originally marketed only by Actina Ltd, a subsidiary of Sangers Photographic plc who had previously distributed the Euromaster, but this was discontinued in December 1987 and it is now available from dealers or directly from Megatron. The Euromaster II may well be the last of the series started by Edward Weston so many years ago and I'm sure he would have appreciated the very high quality of its manufacture and the fact that in these days of digital photography it is still used daily by discerning photograhpers across the world. Manufactured
by: A model, the 2000EuroMaster II Millennium Chrome version was also released by Megatron in the year 2000. Here is the Megatron Website: |
